VC has 1,172 new COVID-19 cases from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1

The California Department of Public Health reported 1,172 new COVID-19 cases in Ventura County from Dec. 31 to Jan. 1.

There were 1,595 new cases in Ventura County from Dec. 30 to Dec. 31.

That brings the total number of cases over two days from Dec. 30 to Jan. 1 to 2,767 cases.

It also noted no additional deaths since the 263 total number of Ventura County deaths assocated with COVID-19 on Dec. 30.

A total of 375 Ventura County residents were hospitalized with COVID-19 on Jan. 1.
