State reports 1,435 new Ventura County COVID-19 cases for Jan. 9

Ventura County had 1,435 new COVID-19 cases reported on Saturday, Jan. 9, according to the California Department of Public Health data portal.
It reported 1,470 new cases on Friday, Jan. 8, and 1,655 on Thursday, Jan. 7.
The state number of cases are slightly higher than the cases reported daily during the week by Ventura County government officials.
The number of Ventura County residents who have been reported to have died with COVID-19 is 334, according to both state and county officials.
