Ojai schools to livestream games

With COVID restrictions still in place, large gatherings are still not allowed, which is having an impact on area sports as competitions ramp up.
According to Nordhoff High School principal Dave Monson, the California Department of Public Health limits spectators to immediate households. 
“We are hoping that a shift to a less restrictive tier might allow more fans beyond immediate households and are working with our local and state officials for guidance. We are also working on livestreaming as many games as possible, within our resources and capacity. We are fortunate to have a teacher in Mr. (Jake) Hansen, who is providing his video productions students real audience work and hands-on application as part of their learning process,” said Monson.

Villanova Prep will also livestream games, according to athletic director Tim Settem. “We are still working out some of the details, but right now we plan to stream water polo, swimming and basketball,” he said. VPS sporting events being streamed can be found at
