Single-digit COVID-19 deaths reported in the county this week

As of April 8, there were 79,894 people who ever were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ventura County and 253 active cases.
This was a 27-case increase from the day before and a 178-case increase from the week before.
Out of these 79,894, 1,005 were in Ojai and 367 in Oak View.
Twenty-two people were in the hospital with COVID-19 countywide as of April 8.
Eight were in intensive care units. More than 32% of ICU beds were available countywide.
A total of 990 people are reported to have died from the virus in Ventura County as of April 8. Twenty-seven were in Ojai and five in Oak View.

Six new deaths were reported across the county this week.
