People can register to vote in Sept. 14 gubernatorial recall election through Election Day

If you want to register to vote in the Sept. 14 governor recall election, you can register in person at the county Elections Division, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, or at any one of the in-person voting locations throughout Ventura County, beginning Sept. 11. That process is called a "Conditional Voter Registration. (Aug. 30 was the deadline to register to receive a Vote by Mail ballot for the Sept. 14 election, but people can still register to vote in the Sept. 14 election through Election Day.)

People who have changed their name, address or party preference since their previous registration must reregister at https://registertovote.

If you are not registered to vote, live in Ventura County, but are registered in another county, or have recently moved within Ventura County, you may go to any one of the in-person voting locations in the county. You can see that list of places by going online to: https://recorder.countyofventura.org/elections/elections/

In-person voting areas will be open:

•Saturday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Sunday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Monday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Election Day, Tuesday, Sept. 14, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In-person voting places in the Ojai Valley are at:

• Oak View Community Center, 18 Valley Road, Oak View

• Ojai United Methodist Church, 120 Church Road, Ojai

Ballots may also be dropped off at official Ballot Drop-off locations now through Sept. 14.

The ballot drop-off locations in the Ojai Valley are:

• Ojai City Hall: 401 S. Ventura St., Ojai, any time

• Ventura County Fire Station No. 23, 15 Kunkle St., Oak View, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
