COVID update for Ojai & Ventura County on Wednesday, Sept. 1

The chart above features a fully vaccinated case summary, with the upper left chart displaying the number of fully vaccinated cases and deaths throughout all Ventura County. The larger chart features Ojai’s 93023 ZIP code’s number of total vaccinated cases and those having occurred in the past 14-day period.

The County of Ventura reports 183 new cases of COVID-19 since Tuesday, Aug. 31, with 5 new deaths. There are currently 124 hospitalizations and 24 patients in the ICU.

For Ojai’s 93023 ZIP code, there have been 7 fully vaccinated cases in the past 14 days out of 15 total cases during the past 14 day period.

For the County as a whole, there have been 443 fully vaccinated cases in the past 14 days, accounting for 20% of the total 14-day case count.

So far, the County reports 17 total fully vaccinated deaths and 102 fully vaccinated hospitalizations.

The current rate of hospitalization among fully vaccinated individuals in 0.020%.

Out of Ojai’s total 17,980 12 and up population, 14,223 individuals or 79.10% have received their first dose of the vaccine.

For those 65 and up, 91.19% of individuals have received at least the first vaccine.
