Several key items of discussion will surround the ongoing ATP project for both Ojai Avenue and Maricopa Highway. The city will receive two design options for the Maricopa Highway portion of the project, and is expected to approve one of the alternate designs. Public comments will also be accepted during this agenda item.

The Council will review the Fire Hardening Improvement Recommendations as designed by the Building Appeals Board. Council is expected to provide direction on the mitigation steps.

There will be an update to the Street Survey and Pavement Management Plan, which provides $69,998 for a street survey to establish the current road conditions of all city streets. The council will then direct staff to create an updated Pavement Management Plan based on the results of the survey.

The meeting will conclude with the ongoing discussion of the Housing Element draft, which is quickly approaching its submission deadline of Oct. 15. Public comment is expected during this agenda item and the council will continue reviewing and updating the 6th Cycle Housing Element and California Department of Housing and Community Development comment letter.
