Ojai Day fun Oct. 16

City Council Created Image

After its cancellation last year due to the pandemic, Ojai’s annual downtown community celebration — Ojai Day — returns this Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As always, the free event features arts and crafts, food and live entertainment. What’s different this year is most of the celebration will be centered in Libbey Park, so Ojai Avenue will remain open.

Keeping the street open means the traditional painting of the mandala will take place at the Libbey Park fountain. The theme for 2021’s mandala is “In the Orchard.”

Ghost stories and a free showing of the movie “COCO” at Libbey Bowl will round out Ojai Day entertainment.
