OVMAC receives presentation on speed increase for Highway 33 through Casitas Springs, Oak View

Caltrans recently implemented a new speed limit increase for Highway 33 through Casitas Springs and Oak View, from 35 mph to 40 mph. The decision was outlined through a presentation from Caltrans at the Ojai Valley Municipal Advisory Council meeting on Monday, Nov. 15.
Caltrans reserves the right to adjust and establish speed limits on highways per California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD) and California Vehicle Code (CVC).
