The conversations are hosted by League of Women Voters president Betsy Patterson.

“There’s some confusion among voters when it comes to our locally elected county officials and what their jobs are,” said Patterson. “We hope that we can help voters make better informed decisions by bringing meaningful and relevant information to them in a digestible and convenient way. Maybe more people will even be encouraged to run for elected office if they have a better understanding of what’s required from the job.”

The League of women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government. The group works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
