2-22-22, Daren John Middlemiss, 39

Daren John Middlemiss of Ojai CA, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, the day before his 40th birthday, following a brief illness.

Daren was born February 23, 1982, in Ojai, CA, to Bonnie Wickersham and Alan Middlemiss, and was a lifelong resident of Ventura County.

Daren was brilliant with computers, making that his career in life. He was working with them as a computer technician from the time he was 19 years old, all the way to the time of his passing.

When Daren wasn’t working, he was a very active person. He had many hobbies and interests, which included snowboarding, paintball, pool, foosball, and ping-pong.
Daren’s favorite times were family gatherings. He enjoyed celebrating holidays when everyone was together.

He loved playing board games and especially teaching Clare and Max (niece and nephew) a new game. He also enjoyed hiking and camping with them.
Daren will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Daren is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ken and Bonnie Wickersham of Ojai, CA; father Alan Middlemiss of Ojai, CA; and grandmother Betty Middlemiss of Ojai.

He is also survived by his brothers, Gary Middlemiss of Alamo, CA, and Ryan Middlemiss of Ventura, CA, and their families, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 411 San Antonio St. Ojai, CA 93023, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11 a.m.

Dedication of the grave will follow immediately at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Rd., Santa Paula, CA 93060.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks if you would make a donation in Daren’s name to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
