An event covering palliative care will take place March 24 at 6:00 p.m. featuring a live question-and-answer session with specially-trained physicians.
Palliative care helps patients and families navigate obstacles by providing relief from symptoms and the stress caused by serious illness.
The event features Dr. Charles Pankratz, Medical Director of Palliative Care Services at CMHS and Dr. Christina Matts of Hospice and Palliative Care Services. With over 25 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Pankratz is skilled in providing symptom management and palliative care. Dr. Mattis practiced as an emergency medicine physician in Southern California for over a decade before going on to pursue a fellowship in palliative medicine at the University of Utah. She now practices palliative medicine in Ventura County.
