Writer Apostolina to give free public talk at Nordhoff Library Wednesday, April 27

Writer and storyteller Michael Apostolina will speak at a free public event on Wednesday, April 27, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Nordhoff High School Library, 1401 Maricopa Highway.

The event is part of Nordhoff High School’s Literary Author Series and is free and open to the public.

The author is a former vice president in charge of creative affairs with Miramax Films in New York City and London.

He was based in Los Angeles and started penning film reviews, then sold several screenplays and a young-adult novel “Hazing Meri Sugarman,” with two follow-up novels, which tell a dark comedy tale set amid college sororities. He is working on his next novel.

Apostolina will share his experiences in the world or writing and discuss his writing process.

The next speaker in the series on May 10 will be Tamara Miller Davis.
