Samuel De Palma, a distinguished bass-baritone — described in Italian as a Basso Verdiano — will perform Sunday, Jan. 26, at 2:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community of Ojai.
He will be accompanied by Chris Gillmon, pianist and choir director of the Methodist Church.
In this concert, he will be singing primarily popular selections from several Broadway shows, including “South Pacific,” “Camelot,” “Sound of Music,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” and more.
He will also present a few familiar brief arias.
The Jewish Community of Ojai is located at the corner of El Roblar and Poli in Meiners Oaks. Tickets are $20 each and can only be purchased at the door. There is no charge for JCO members.
A champagne reception and a meet-and-greet with De Palma will immediately follow the concert.
