Ojai Valley Lavender Festival will grace the green grasses of Libbey Park once again on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

There will be 110 vendors at the festival, providing lavender-infused food and beverages, jewelry, art, candles, beauty products, plant arrangements, and much more.

LMG Vendor Events-Blissful Boutiques is the head organizer of the festival this year. President and CEO Lisa Green said she is “excited to bring a whole new flavor to the festival. There will be a lot of activities — face-painting for the kids, music, a variety of artisans and crafts. We want to make this a very family-friendly event; that’s why we have food trucks this year, so people can spend more time in the park enjoying the surroundings. We will see what works this year and build bigger and better for next year.”

Green added: “We want to keep in line with past donors giving back to the Ojai Valley. A portion of the fees collected will be given back to the Ojai community — the Nordhoff PTA, the Matilija Middle School library, and Teen Challenge of Ventura County.”

A scholarship will also be awarded to Billie Bowman, who will attend School of the Art Institute of Chicago this fall. Music will be performed by local artists Smitty West and Julija Zonic and ABBA cover band ABBA DABBA DOO (in which West and Zonic also perform).

Smitty West will also be the event’s emcee.
