School District factoring asbestos abatement into construction plans

The federal Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act requires public school districts to inspect their facilities every three years for potential asbestos hazards.

Josh Brown, director of Maintenance and Operations for the Ojai Unified School District (OUSD) scheduled its inspection a year early in anticipation of construction planning related to upcoming Measure J improvements.
