Spraying continues to hatch debate

The Ojai City Council received a number of public comments Tuesday regarding the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s (CDFA) plan to begin area-wide pesticide treatment in the Ojai Valley May 8.

Residents expressed concern to the council about potential health and environmental impacts of the planned treatments.

The pesticide applications are intended to keep the Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) population low.
