The city of Ojai has been deposed in the litigation between the owner of the Ojai Playhouse Theater and Golden State Water Company (GSWC). A pair of deposition subpoenas, filed by GSWC attorney Carlos Cabral, call for the appearance of an Ojai representative in Ventura Oct. 26, along with relative documents in the city’s relationship with the theater and its owners.
“Our attorneys are in contact with their attorneys,” Ojai City Manager Steve McClary said Oct. 26, the date originally specified for conducting the depositions in Ventura. “One of our staff members was not available, so they're working out a different time, probably for next week.”
McClary said Community Development Director Kathleen Wold and Public Works Director Greg Grant would likely represent the city at the deposition.
