Two elephants have gone missing from Casitas Springs and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) is hoping the public can help find them. The VCSO would like to find the person or persons responsible for the disappearance, too.
Don’t look for the purloined pachyderms roaming around anywhere on the hoof, though — cast entirely in bronze and valued at $4,000 apiece, each served as part of a fountain installation at a home in the 8700 block of North Ventura Avenue until their unceremonious removal sometime between Oct. 9 and Oct. 10.
