Local candidates react to election victories

Johnny Johnston scored a decisive victory Nov. 8, receiving votes from 55.74 percent of Ojai voters to become the city's first elected mayor. 
“I'm grateful for the trust they're placing in me,” said Johnston, who added that he's confident the Ojai City Council will come together to do the community's business. 
Suza Francina, a former appointed Ojai mayor, was elected to the City Council with 58.06 percent of the vote.
