Blower ban back: City will begin enforcement again July 1

Amid a seemingly infinite debate over the use of leaf blowers in the city of Ojai, the city will once again enforce rules that disallow the use of gas-powered leaf blowers in residential areas. 
Electric leaf blowers can be operated during certain hours in residential areas, but are prohibited Sundays and during legal holidays. Violation of the rules could carry a fine of up to $250 per offense.
The Ojai City Council voted 3-2 April 11 to enforce the leaf blower regulations on the books beginning July 1 .
