Second round of sewer line work set to begin

Bill Warner, Ojai Valley News reporter
The Ojai Valley Sanitary District (OVSD) is set to implement the latest phase of its ongoing plan to upgrade its infrastructure. Meeting in regular session June 26, the OVSD Board of Directors was unanimous in its approval of a contract with Fullerton-based Insituform Technologies to perform the upgrade.
Work will likely begin in early September, according to OVSD General manager Jeff Palmer. It will focus mainly on the Country Club Drive and Crestview neighborhood, along with the residential neighborhood behind Vons continuing to the area around East Villanova Road. The sewer lines under Bryant Street are slated for inclusion in this year's upgrades, too, as are portions of Pleasant Avenue, Cañada Street, Topa Topa Street, Encino Drive to Highway 33 and the Norway tract across to Ventura Avenue.
