The search for a missing hiker in the Mt. Pinos area north of Ojai entered its third day July 31.
The Ventura County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) says 77-year-old Lisa Mathiason, of Bakersfield, left the Chula Vista parking lot July 29 at approximately 10 a.m. on an expected two-hour hike.
At 5:15 p.m., VCSO received a report that Mathiason was several hours overdue.
A ground-and-air search was launched that continued through the weekend, but she had yet to be located.
Deputies said foul play is not suspected at this point.
Mathiason is described as a 5-foot 4-inch, 140-pound white female with brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a white or blue flowered shirt, white sweater, white or blue cargo pants and carrying a multi-colored backpack.
Anyone who has seen Mathiason is encouraged to call the Sheriff's Communications Center at 654-9511.
