Ojaians can watch one of nature's most spectacular occurrences Aug. 21 at the Ojai Library.
Beginning at 9 a.m., the library will host a live stream viewing of the 2017 solar eclipse.
A solar eclipse happens when the moon obscures the sun, revealing the solar corona.
A partial solar eclipse will be visible from Southern California, while some areas of the country will witness a total eclipse.
The library will project a live stream of the eclipse in the library meeting room, “and a limited number of eclipse glasses will be available for folks who want to view the eclipse themselves,” said Ron Solorzano, regional librarian, who has picked out some of the best viewing spots on the library grounds.
