Pat McPherson, a longtime Ojai Valley resident and co-founder of the citizens group Ojai Friends of Locally Owned Water (Ojai F.L.O.W.), passed away Aug. 25, according to family and friends.
McPherson was 75.
“It's such a loss to the community,” said Dale Hanson, Realtor and fellow Ojai F.L.O.W. board member.
“He spearheaded Ojai F.L.O.W. and he was just tireless. He kept us all going, and though there were rough spots, Pat got us through them,” Hanson added.
McPherson was co-founder of the international electronics engineering and manufacturing company GIGAVAC in Carpinteria.
“He was a very smart, hardworking and generous guy, and a great grandfather to his grandchildren,” said Stan Greene, a close friend and member of the Ojai F.L.O.W. board.
Funeral arrangements are pending, sources said.
