The Nordhoff High School varsity football team improved to 3-0 on the season with a dominating 56-7 victory over the Carpinteria Warriors Sept. 15 in Ojai.
NHS jumped out to an early 21-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back.

For the Rangers, four players each scored two touchdowns on the night. Junior running back Brayden Rogers scored two rushing touchdowns, as did senior quarterback Parker Johnsen. Johnsen also threw two touchdowns to senior wide out Jesse Kuehn. The performance of the night was turned in by junior linebacker Torrey Nicholson, who returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the game.
Nordhoff will now turn its attention to the Sept. 22 showdown with the Fillmore Flashes. That game will be played in Fillmore.
