The Nordhoff High School (NHS) football team improved to 5-0 on the season with a Sept. 29 home victory over the San Marcos Royals, 35-13.
NHS jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead before the Royals steadied the ship and cut the lead to 14-7 going into the half.
The second half belonged to Rangers as they wore down the visiting Royals.
Nordhoff's offensive touchdowns came from Brayden Rogers, Colby Stevens and Jesse Kuehn.
Not to be outdone, the Ranger defensive unit also put points on the board thanks to Korey Stevens and Nate Rhodes who both returned an interception for a touchdown.
