Ojai Valley School (OVS) seventh-grader Zachary Danino kicks against Marymount in middle school boys’ soccer action Oct. 17. The two teams traded goals throughout the game but OVS eventually came out on the losing end, 5-3. Coach Matt Inman said his team made some excellent plays. “It was a great game,” Inman said, “our best game of the season! The Soccer Spuds are off to a good start this season. We have a solid core of talented eighth-graders, and the upcoming seventh- and sixth-graders are training well and developing technical skills and tactical awareness quickly. Home games have been really well-attended, and our middle school athletes love to play in front of their home crowd."
