The Villanova Preparatory School (VPS) football team continues to have a terrific 2017 season. After defeating The Thacher School for the first time in eight-man football Oct. 21, VPS now sits at 8-0 on the season and is the No. 2 team in the CIF Southern Section Division I polls.
“We’ve had great team play this year and a lot of different players are stepping up to make plays for us. We also have Raegan (Mang) and that doesn’t hurt,” said VPS head coach Ricardo Olivares. “Teams never know where or how he is going to get the ball, so he is hard to prepare for.”
Mang has scored touchdowns in every way imaginable this season crossing the goal line 39 times in eight games. Mang’s 39 touchdowns is the most for any eight-man player in California and ties him for first in the country.
“Raegan is just a great player,” added Olivares. “He is special.”
