Rose Valley conditions updated

A mandatory evacuation order remains in place in Rose Valley, north of Ojai.
A flare up of the Thomas Fire that jumped a containment line Dec. 14 is burning east of Highway 33 and north of Rose Valley Road.
Today, firefighters will continue building containment lines for future firing operations north of the Matilija Wilderness toward Rose Valley.
Those operations are dependent on the weather, which was calm overnight, but Cal Fire spokesman Jude Olivas said winds could pick up again this afternoon.
A red flag warning was set to expire at 10 a.m.
Olivas had no information on structures damaged or destroyed in the Rose Valley area.
Total acreage for the Thomas Fire is 252,000 acres.
The fire is 35 percent contained.
Total personnel assigned to the fire is 8,369.
Total cost to fight the fire to date is $88,836,000.
