Casitas Municipal Water District (CMWD) directors will take up an assortment of agenda items when they meet Jan. 10.
Items include potential help for Thomas Fire victims, quagga mussel rapid response and new furniture for the Casitas Board Room.
The Board will receive information on Thomas Fire water billings including a Jan. 4 memo from CMWD general manager Steve Wickstrum directing staff to waive conservation penalties for all Casitas customers for the month of December.
Some Casitas customers surpassed their water allocations when defending homes and property from the fire.
In addition, Casitas customers who lost their home in the fire will have their bill for water consumption during December waived.
The Board is expected to authorize and award a contract for the construction of a new dais and storage cabinet for the remodeled Casitas Board Room.
The purchase order, to California Woodworking, Inc. of Oxnard in the amount of $38,750, includes construction and installation of the dais that will seat eight and the cabinet.
