Storm will bring us some rain

A cold front this week brought snow to Chief Peak and frost to this meadow on Highway 33.

The second of two winter storms within a week was expected to bring more rain and mountain snow that could last through March 3.
According to the National Weather Service, the rainfall forecast was generally around an inch for coastal areas and 2 to 3 inches in the mountains and foothills.
No thunderstorms were forecast.
Eight to 14 inches of snow was expected above the 6,000-foot elevation.
In addition, 15- to 30-mile per hour winds, with gusts to 50, are forecast, resulting in possible downed trees.
Moderate debris flows were expected throughout the Thomas Fire burn area.
