Presentation will feature life of John Muir

Rev. Don Baldwin, an actor and former minister in Yosemite National Park, will bring environmentalist John Muir to life during a presentation at the Ojai Retreat and Inn March 9 at 7 p.m.
For more than a decade, Baldwin portrayed Muir, exploring his passion for nature, his triumphs and his near tragedies.
In addition to the live presentation of Muir, the program also will include a showing of Baldwin’s short film, “John Muir’s Beloved Yosemite.”  An award-winning photographer, Baldwin has spent more than 50 years photographing the Sierras.  This film, with many images of Yosemite, includes a narrative of Muir’s most famous quotations, and soundtrack by composer Michael Hoppe.
The evening is presented by the Ojai Retreat Education Center, and is planned as a benefit for the Ojai Retreat’s post-fire relief fund.
Suggested donations will be accepted at the door and advance reservations are not required.
The Ojai Retreat is located at 160 Besant Road, Ojai.
