Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three Ojai juveniles following an incident at a downtown convenience store March 15.
At approximately 7 p.m., three males entered the Chevron station at 360 E. Ojai Ave. “with what we believe was the intention of stealing beer,” said Capt. Dean Cook from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO).
When a store employee tried to intervene, he was allegedly assaulted with a skateboard.
It’s alleged a female customer also was attacked with the skateboard.
Deputies arrived and arrested a 15- and 16-year-old.
