Trio arrested on a variety of charges

A series of disputes over allegedly stolen motorcycles led to assault and firearms charges for three members of an Ojai family.
Sheriff's deputies said that 22-year-old Anzel Griffith, the owner of two motorcycles, entered the grounds of Nordhoff High School March 29 and allegedly battered a 15-year-old victim he believed responsible for the thefts.
The beating at the school was reported by several witnesses, but no weapons were seen.
One week earlier, Griffith and his father, 54-year-old Stuart Griffith, had been involved in a vehicle chase with the 15-year-old and a 17-year-old victim.
The pursuit through the Ojai Valley ended at the entrance to the Rancho Matilija gated community on Highway 150.
