Planning Commission sends water-saving recommendations to Council

The Ojai Planning Commission has sent its recommendations on water-wise development standards to the City Council for review.
The Commission met in regular session May 2 to talk about prioritizing standards aimed at water conservation.
Based on discussions from previous planning meetings, Ojai’s Community Development Director Luke Connolly prepared a list of high-, medium- and low-priority items.
High priority items — things that can be done quickly and at low cost — include expanding public education through the city's website and creating educational landscaping on city-owned property.
