Group to study drought’s economic impacts

A study is in the works to show the economic impacts to the Ojai Valley that could result from a prolonged drought.
The Drought Economic Analysis is being spearheaded by directors of the Ventura River Water District (VRWD).
“It's looking more and more like, as the drought continues, we're all going to have to make some big financial decisions,” said VRWD general manager Bert Rapp.
The decisions include how much money should be invested to ensure enough water to sustain the Ojai Valley through the drought.
The VRWD Board of Directors began discussing an economic analysis in February.
