The ribbon was cut May 21 on the new outdoor pavillion at Matilija Junior High School (MJHS).
The Peace Pavilion, a gift from the Rotary Club of Ojai, will be used for outdoor classes, small assemblies and music performances.
The pavilion also offers audience members a place to gather during intermission of events in the auditorium.
The project was conceptualized by Rotary past president Bill Gilbreth, along with fellow Rotarians Cheree Edwards and Marc Whitman.
"An odyssey of Homeric proportions," said Gilbreth in describing the 500-square-foot Peace Pavilion project.
