The city of Ojai will partner with a private research university for a study on climate resiliency.
At its May 22 meeting, the Ojai City Council voted unanimously to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Design Center at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
The collaboration will pay special attention to Ojai's growing water pressures.
Discussion of forming the partnership was requested by Councilmen Randy Haney and William Weirick.
Along with Mayor Johnny Johnston, both men had taken part in an Ojai water study done by CMU last year.
