School’s fate in the balance: Summit closure could be decided June 6

It’s a season of change in the Ojai Unified School District (OUSD).
OUSD sixth-graders will move to Matilija Junior High School (MJHS) at the start of the 2019-2020 school year, Mira Monte Elementary School will likely be the District’s largest elementary school when school starts anew in August and Summit Elementary School may be shuttered.
The OUSD School Board discussed the prospect of closing Summit School for the 2018-2019 school year during a special Board meeting May 29.
