The Characters were able to hang on to the top spot after June 12 play and win the first half of the Sundowner Golf League season. They sprinted to the finish line with a 60-point output that allowed them to win the first half by a 13-point margin.
League veteran Steve Rapholz led the way with 42 strokes for 22 points. Rapholz has the highest average of any player on the team with 19.1 points per round.
He was supported by the play of Victor Logan and Craig Oswald.
Logan has returned to his old form and has seen two shots drop off his handicap this season.
