Various walking/biking projects winding their way through local bureaucracies

As the Active Transportation Program (ATP) in Ojai prepares to ride into the design phase, discussions between parties have slowed in regards to the specifics of the project.
Organizations outside of city control, who will have say in the project, include CalTrans and the California Transportation Commission (CTC).
Because Highway 33 and Highway 150 are state highways, CalTrans has to approve all facets of the project, from parking lane pavers to bike lane design.
Caltrans officials are looking to pave the route that stretches from El Roblar to Gridley during the city’s project to eliminate overlap between what is done with the ATP and their own street-improvement plans.
