A long-term fix for Casitas Municipal Water District's (CMWD) clogging woes at the Robles Diversion won't happen by this rainy season, but officials are hoping a solution can be in place by next winter.
The facility, on the Ventura River west of Ojai, diverts water from the river to Lake Casitas when flow levels allow.
Diversions in March 2018 were hampered by storms that brought down a large amount of Thomas Fire debris and plugged fish screens designed to protect endangered Southern California steelhead.
