Klaif, Blatz Face Off In City Council Debate

The two candidates for a vacant seat on the Ojai City Council attempted Monday evening to define themselves as distinctly different from their opponent, despite similarities in political goals and philosophy. Both Paul Blatz and Leonard Klaif are lawyers. Klaif is 61, Blatz 58. Both have been active in community affairs for many years and have run for City Council previously. Both are critical of current city leadership. And both say their primary goal is to keep Ojai the quaint village they love, but with a more environmentally friendly “green”
