Ojai City Council places moratorium on wireless facilities

In the aftermath of the controversial Grand Avenue cell phone tower proposal, Ojai’s City Council members voted unanimously Tuesday to place a 45-day moratorium on issuing wireless facility permits in the city. They also voted to give city staff the option of extending the moratorium up to 10 months if necessary, and directed staff to begin crafting an updated wireless communications facilities ordinance (WCF).
