Relax the lockdown

ANGELO SPANDRIO, Ojai

We have been on COVID-19 lockdown in Ventura County for more than four weeks, which is much longer than the published incubation period, two to 14 days, of COVID-19. Why then do we continue to have new cases erupt every day, even though we've been locked down for four weeks? After the first two weeks of lockdown, COVID-19 should have run its course within the lockdown population. There have been on average almost 15 new cases appear in Ventura County every day between April 2 and April 16 and that rate is not slowing down.
